Thanks all members for your enthusiastic display during our network’s very own HCI-GSK-EDB Entrepreneurship Challenge 2009, held successfully on the 10th July. In case if you have missed the event, fret not for there will be cascade of exciting activities upcoming for the 3rd term such as the J2 Graduation and the crowning of our new executive committee…

SO WHO WILL BE IN THE NEXT BOARD OF DIRECTORS?

Hello All Network Members,

Here are the much-awaited results of the Dennis Challenge. After much deliberation, the teachers have surfaced the top 3 teams. 

Group 2 (led by Kai Zhi) — scored very well for innovation & feasibility
Group 3 (led by Yang Fan) — scored well for innovation, but weak in feasibility
Group 8 (led by Aaron) — average for both innovation & feasibility

These teams will receive a case prize of $50. The teachers were also impressed by one another group — Group 6 (led by Xiao Heng), while their idea is innovative, but the feasibility was questionable. For that, we’ll give this group a consolidation prize, in honour of their efforts, $30.

The Last Lap- Finals.

The semifinals have ended; the top five teams from each category will advance to the finals.

Remember to look through the slides again as we have edited some important information that we realised have missed out during the briefing. Dear competitors,

The preliminary round has come to an end. The list of semifinalists will be posted at a later date. To those who have made it into the semifinals, we offer our sincerest congratulations. To those who have not, thank you for participating in VBC 2009.

In response to some requests from a few masochists, I’ve decided to leave the game running (after wiping everything, of course) as a funserver for people to play for fun. No pressure to win, because none of these results will be considered for semifinal entry (i.e. your placings are already fixed). Enjoy attempting to break my model with irrational behavior!

If you’re wondering, the time delay between the end of the game and the release of semifinal results is because the people in charge of running the game are considering opening up the semifinals to more people. Don’t worry, we kept a record of people’s rankings. We will tell you when everything is finalised!
