Valentine’s Day Retail Stall 2009
Network’s annual Valentine’s Day retail stall event came to an end on 13 February 2009 after three days of selling sweet, cold ice-cream! It was held in conjunction with Friendship day and we saw many teachers treating their classes to ice-cream. All our members participated in the setting up and selling of ice-cream in the college school canteen, at just $1 per scoop with a wide array of irresistible flavours to choose from – definitely an economical alternative to the limited types of desserts the canteen provides for us with! This year we added new flavours like green tea, cookies and cream and lime sherbet which were wildly popular with our customers. We even sold ice-cream floats!
Not only did we showcase our entrepreneurial spirit, we also exercised social entrepreneurship by donating part of our proceeds to the CIP seed fund. It was definitely an unforgettable and fun experience that we hope Network members will continue to participate in!
